Lift Cancer Care Services is a multi-disciplinary service for people living with cancer located in Adelaide 10 minutes from the city at the Tennyson Centre, Kurralta Park. We are looking for FRACGP/FACRRM GPs to join our growing team as we set a higher standard in cancer care. Our values of Accessibility, Care, and Empowerment, are shared by all staff to support our patients throughout their cancer treatment. It is a great opportunity to be involved in an innovative model of care and diversify your clinical work with deeply rewarding patient interactions.  The role would be suitable for a GP seeking variety in their work week in a fulfilling role involving structured medical reviews of cancer patients undergoing exercise treatment. Working directly with physiotherapists and exercise physiologists to connect patients with evidence-based exercise medicine dose as well as identifying other supportive care needs. Develop skills in Supportive Oncology Care with peer mentorship. No previous experience in oncology required.

The Medical Practitioners at Lift facilitate the safe and appropriate access to evidence-based Exercise Medicine Treatment for people with cancer. You will provide pre-exercise medical assessments for oncology patients presenting for Exercise Medicine Treatment at Lift, working closely with the team of Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists as they deliver the exercise treatment and provide support to them in managing any clinical issues as they arise during the exercise treatment. This is a very defined clinical role that does not required any out of hours work such as chasing results, letter writing etc. so if you like certainty around your work hours, this role may be perfect for you!
