Job Title:  General Practitioner – Murgon, Queensland
                                                            
Hours:  Permanent - Full Time

Practice Information:
This practice is the sole rural General Practice in the rural town of Murgon (MMM5). It is a mixed billing practice with 3.0 FTE General Practitioners and 1.0 GP registrar. The Practice provides orientation information for new GPs and this is further consolidated by two consultation free days at the commencement of the initial term to enable the GP to sit in with the principal GP for orientation to the computer system, software and Practice in general as well as familiarisation with the local health facilities, diagnostic facilities and visiting specialist services. The professional relationships amongst the doctors and all staff in the Practice are collegiate and new GPs, registrars and their families are made very welcome by everybody. Accommodation is provided for your family. Murgon is fully accredited with AGPAL.
The practice provides care to residents at the Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) of Castra. They have approximately 5000 current active patients who have been seen within the last 2 years. Opportunities to follow many and varied sporting and cultural pursuits exist in Murgon. The practice encourages registrar involvement in local interest groups and associations.

Position Details:
This practice is the only GP service in Murgon and as such you will provide services to local Murgon patients as well as those from surrounding towns.

Qualifications & Experience:

• FRACGP or FACRRM or equivalent

Salary Information:
Negotiable (based on experience & qualifications)

About Murgon:
Murgon is located approximately, 250km north-west of Brisbane in the South Burnett. Driving time from the Brisbane CBD using the most direct route is 3 hours. The main industries in this area are agricultural, wine production, industrial and rural. There are myriad supporting industries and a busy striving business community.
