Located in a rural town and coastal locality in the Mackay Region this clinic is seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join their team and meet the growing demand for patient care. Following the departure of a full-time GP last year, the practice is currently booked out two weeks in advance, offering an excellent opportunity for a new doctor to step into a busy and rewarding role.

About the Practice

• Team Composition: Work alongside 3 experienced GPs and a supportive Principal.
• Billing Structure: Bulk billing with a mixed billing approach, offering 15-minute appointment times for quality care.
• Earnings:
  • 65% of billings for General Registration, increasing to 70% with Fellowship.
  • Initial Guarantee: For the first 12 weeks.

Exceptional Support

• Nursing Team: Enjoy the assistance of 2 Registered Nurses and 1 Enrolled Endorsed Nurse. Our nursing team handles vaccinations, wound care, procedural support, ECGs, and spirometry, allowing you to focus on patient care.
• Mentorship and Supervision: The Practice Principal, a Senior Lecturer with James Cook University, has a strong track record in training and mentoring. He currently supervises 2 GPs working towards Fellowship and is available to mentor incoming doctors participating in the FSP program.

Essential Criteria:

• MBBS or equivalent
• Must have a current and valid AHPRA GENERAL /SPECIALIST registration
• Must be committed to building a clientele and retaining patients
• Comfortable with all aspects of GP work
