Assist doctors with:
- patient consultations
- performing physical examinations
- treating wounds or injuries
- putting on and removing dressings
- emergency first aid treatment as required
- giving advice, education and information stopping smoking, drinking or losing weight
- taking patient specimens and vital signs (pulse, temperatures and blood pressure)
- giving immunisations, vaccinations and other infant injections
- Chronic disease management plans and Health Assessments
- keeping written and / or electronic records and making sure that patient notes are current.
- cold Chain management and monitoring
- general restocking and maintenance of clinical areas
