The Exercise Collaborative (ExCo) is looking for its next passionate full time Musculoskeletal Exercise Physiologist to join its growing team in a new purpose built, state-of-the-art studio in Cammeray. The role provides an exciting opportunity to work in a private clinical exercise facility with a wide variety of clients across the health and performance continuum.

Responsibilities and Key Competencies

  • Demonstrate ability to develop and apply musculoskeletal-based rehabilitation principles as well as assess movement competencies and load. These skills will be applied to a wide range of clientele, including those recovering from injuries/surgery, those looking to prevent injury and those looking to optimise performance.
  • Possess a strong interest in strength training and movement science for optimising performance. Personal experience in sport, injury, recovery and resistance training is desirable but not essential.
  • The opportunity to contribute to the design and implementation of our renowned evidence-based programs, including those for osteoporosis, cancer, osteoarthritis, chronic pain and metabolic conditions, in both 1-1 and group class formats.The role will require you to communicate, liaise and market our services to various health professionals, medical practitioners and staff members.
  • Be part of a collaborative team, responsible for growth and client lead generation to improve the overall performance of the business.
  • Work towards team leadership opportunities within the business and communicate relevant data and metrics to senior stakeholders.
  • Possess a good understanding of various government (eg. Medicare, DVA, SIRA, NDIS etc) and private health fund schemes.
Role Essentials:

Qualifications and Experience

  • As a minimum, bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology.
  • Accreditation in Exercise Physiology with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
  • Professional indemnity insurance.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Working with Children check.
