Located at various PHC's across the Central West as required - Aramac, Bedourie, Birdsville, Boulia, Isisford, Jundah, Muttaburra, Tambo & Windorah.

 

  • Permanent, temporary or casual as required
  • Fortnightly income between $ 5843.30 - $6259.70 p.f  (full-time) or $94.56 - $101.30 p.h (casual)
  • Rural and remote experience

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director of Nursing (DON), is a Registered Nurse who can demonstrate advanced

knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory.

 

  • To be successful candidates will be a Registered Nurse who demonstrates:
  • Competence in the provision of nursing care as specified by registration requirements, NMBA standards and codes, educational preparation, relevant legislation and context of care.
  • Clinical expertise and proven operational management for remote area facility.
  • Capacity to deliver health services across geographically diverse environments and population groups.
  • Personal resilience to operate professionally and to work collaboratively with internal and external staff and stakeholders.
  • Provision of expert clinical care

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse (RN). Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to the commencement of employment.
  • This role provides the clinical responsibilities of the Hospital-Based Ambulance service, and it is preferential that the successful applicant has training in prehospital trauma/emergency management.
  • The incumbent must be licensed to operate a C Class motor vehicle. Proof of this endorsement must be provided before commencement of duty. An ability to drive and operate a manual vehicle as well as the essential equipment within the hospital-based ambulance is mandatory.
  • Highly desirable: Applicants who possess or are working towards a postgraduate qualification related to the context of practice, will be well regarded.
  • Applicants with Rural and Isolated Practice Registered Nurse (RIPRN) endorsement, will be well regarded.
