Location: Burwood/Blackburn, VIC

Our client is looking for multiple early-career Speech Pathologists on a permanent full-time basis, to join our team in East Melbourne.

They provide industry-leading multidisciplinary Allied Health services to people of all ages and backgrounds, that are evidence-based and tailored to our clients’ needs. Our therapists have the opportunity to work across our different clinics in the Eastern Suburbs, as well as to provide mobile therapy services.

Role and Responsibility

  • Apply a high level of professional judgment and knowledge to provide a wide range of speech and language supports to clients of all ages with a variety of needs
  • Assess the communication and/or mealtime management abilities of the client utilising a range of assessment techniques and tools
  • Design intervention plans that are holistic, client-centred and outcome-driven
  • Provide support to and assisting clients, carers, and families with the implementation of intervention plans and programs
  • Develop care plans and writing comprehensive reports based on advanced clinical understanding, application of various clinical assessments, and implementation of appropriate interventions to address prioritised needs
  • Liaise with other health professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the client

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Knowledge of evidence-based principles in assessment and treatment
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Enjoy working with children (prior experience not required, although will be helpful)
  • Working with Children Check and National Police Check
  • Eligibility for a Medicare Provider number
  • You must have the right to live and work in Australia (or working towards this)

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Valid Victorian driver’s license and own vehicle
