Exciting opportunity for an Accredited Exercise Physiologist to join a growing Allied Health Clinic

Balanced Bodies Lifestyle Clinic was founded 11 years ago and has grown to a well-established allied health clinic. We offer Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy, Remedial Massage Therapy & Dietetics services for chronic and complex health conditions, general health and wellbeing, pregnancy and post-natal, and injury rehabilitation. Our niche areas include Cancer Care (2 of our clinic locations are within well respected Cancer Centres), Womens Health, Chronic Pain & Invisible Illnesses (EDS. hypermobility spectrum disorders, Chronic Fatigue).

Our clinic is spread across 3 locations, with this role based at our main clinic in Cremorne. You will be working with a group of dedicated health professionals to deliver outstanding patient-centred care for our clients. It is our vision to inspire individuals to achieve their daily dose and plant SEEDS for their health.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to the continuing growth of our clinics, we are seeking applications for an Accredited Exercise Physiologist to join our growing team.

 

Reporting to the Clinic Director, key duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Conduct accurate and timely client assessments in a caring and professional manner.

  • Define appropriate treatment and exercise physiology plans to meet both the medical and personal goals of the client.

  • Provide effective case management, planning, and monitoring of the client’s progress toward their goals.

  • Identify additional needs, supports or referrals for the client as required.

  • Work with the team to develop and deliver new innovative services.

  • Exceed client expectations and promote preventative maintenance care and early intervention.

  • Implement interventions that will help improve client’s quality of life.

  • Maintain high quality, accurate client notes and report back to referring health practitioners as required.

  • Networking with GPs, specialists, and other Allied Health Professional.

  • Be part of a growth centred team with a range of career pathways including excelling in your niche, leadership positions or project based work.

ABOUT YOU

BBLC are seeking an outgoing, confident, and personable practitioner looking to excel and develop their career in private practice. You will be looking to develop your clinical knowledge and skills and are eager to take on new and exciting challenges.

To be successful in this role and part of our amazing team, you will need a passion for helping clients and delivering exceptional customer service. You will have great people skills, fantastic communication and enjoy working as part of a dynamic team and contribute to our vibrant culture.

Some of the key areas of interest and/or experience for the successful team member who joins BBLC, will include working across the following areas:

  • Oncology

  • Women’s health

  • Chronic health management

Essential Qualifications/qualities:

  • 1-2 years’ experience (new graduates may also be considered)

  • Degree qualified and current accreditation (ESSA)

  • Medicare Provider Number or willing to obtain

  • Relevant individual insurance

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent client service skills and a friendly disposition (customer first mentality)

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Good understanding of Medicare and HICAPS processing

  • Previous experience using Cliniko is highly desirable

  • Proficient with Google Workspace (Gmail and Google Drive)
