Full Time General Practitioner

Company Description

We are a family-owned and run, mixed billing, GP surgery, focusing on patient care since 1985.

We open 10 consult rooms, have an onsite Pharmacy, and QML and are looking to onboard Allied Health in the mental health space in the new year.

We have a Doctor leaving early in 2025 to live in Central QLD, so we have a room, and a practice to walk into and make your own.

Could start part-time immediately, and transition into full time in January.

We have a strong administration and nursing team always looking to refine and improve our systems, ensuring our Doctors' days go smoothly. 

We are a teaching surgery.  We host drug reps once a week, and one Doctor is responsible for GP learning, organising specialists once a month to discuss topics of interest for CPD points.  We currently have 10 GPs consulting, and 1 Registrar.  6 of our Fellow'd Doctors were Registrars with us.   We have literally grown and expanded with our registrars.  We endorse and foster a collegiate atmosphere amongst our Doctors. 

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a General Practitioner in the Greater Ipswich Area.

There is a practice ready to step into. 

We are a patient focused surgery.  You would be responsible for providing primary health care services to patients, conducting medical examinations, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing medications, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals.  

We are a DPA surgery.

We see patients from 7.00am to 4.30pm weekdays, and 8.30am to 12.30pm Sundays.  We ideally seek a possible interest in afterhours work for half day Sunday mornings.  Doctors can choose their consulting hours within those times.

Our consult rooms are generously sized... everyone who sees them for the first time opens their mouths a little!
