The Role
The Junction Works supports people with disability, mental health issues or social disadvantage, to live their best lives. We are an actively growing organisation providing support services in the Greater Western Sydney Region. We are seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Works Practice team, a collaboration with other clinical disciplines in the development and delivery of therapeutic interventions.
The Senior Occupational Therapist will collaborate with other clinical disciplines in the development and delivery of therapeutic interventions. Services are primarily provided to the person within their day program, home environment or clinics and may involve the development of individual or group programs.
This position is dedicated to delivering top-tier services aimed at engaging with participants and providing access to various supports and services identified by individuals at critical life stages. The ultimate goal is to promote optimal wellbeing and facilitate social participation.

Key Requirements
- Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA Registration.
- General registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
- At least 3 years minimum experience working with people with a disability with complex needs, incorporating specialised and complex intervention strategies such as equipment prescription and environmental modifications.
- Experience working collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and in partnership with other services.
Some of your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Manage a caseload of people with a disability and their families or carers, who present with a variety of needs. This includes assessment, intervention planning, program development and equipment prescription in the areas of seating and positioning, mobility and transport safety, manual handling, environmental modification, upper limb function and self care needs.
- Assess participant needs and develop, implement, monitor and review NDIS plans for each participant to ensure the participant’s assessed needs are being met.
- Support the philosophy of person-centred practice and engage in collaborative, holistic goal setting that reflects the individual’s needs and priorities.
- Ensure that organisational benchmark’s are met in accordance to customer expectations and participant caseload allocation.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision and support to other allied health staff and students, ensuring the use of best practice models that meet the needs of disability program requirements and individuals and families.
- Act as a specialist resource to management on all matters pertaining to the provision of Occupational Therapy services within The Junction Works.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the Allied Health team with the support of The Junction Management team
