Tasks

You will be working in a small team with a large degree of autonomy. Each day, you will be seeing paediatric clients in the community or via telehealth. Clinicians are responsible for the day-to-day management of their caseloads, communication with families, and implementation of therapies.

Requirements

The formal part:

All applicants must have:
 

  • A relevant accredited degree in Speech Pathology
  • Eligibility and membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • A Current NSW Driver's License and access to a vehicle
  • A Current NDIS Worker's Check or ability to obtain one
  • Fully vaccinated (3 doses) against COVID-19 or relevant Medical Exemption

     

Essential Criteria
 

  • Demonstrated ability to work within a billable model and be accountable for daily activities.
  • Knowledge of, and experience in holistic approaches to early intervention.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop functional goals with a family and build capacity in the child’s networks to achieve the goals in the child’s natural environments (e.g., home, school and in the community)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to support children and their families
  • Demonstrated skills in working in partnership with local child and family services
  • Experience working with children and families from culturally diverse backgrounds and people with disability
  • Effective oral and written communication and organisational skills
  • Knowledge, and experience of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

  • We cap billables at 5hrs per day, including non-direct and travel time.
