We are currently looking for an Assistant Nurse Unit Manager - ANUM to join the Urology/Vascular ward in a full-time capacity.
As an ANUM – your responsibilities will include:
- Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement
- Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes.
- Provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.
- Be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources
- Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
- Undertaking direct patient care, as required
- Mentoring of staff

They have a 24/7 Emergency Department, covering a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries. Backed by the latest technology and expertise, we offer 15 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. All supported by a soon to be expanded coronary care unit and intensive care unit.
About You
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Working with Childrens check
- Current or previous ANUM or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable)
- Sound clinical knowledge
- 3 years of clinical/surgical experience
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive role modelling behaviours
- Ability to work across a rotating roster of AM/PM/ND shifts
- Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation
