Clinical or General Psychologist / Clinical Social Worker

We are looking for a few Psychologists to join our small (yet dynamic) team at our private practice in West End.

As the Principal Psychologist, with almost 30 years’ experience, I will be delighted to facilitate top-quality professional development opportunities as well as foster a warm and inclusive environment.

My focus, these days is around facilitating face-to-face and online well-being retreats, so I have less time available to see clients on a one-to-one basis. Hence, I’m looking for someone who is committed to helping people improve their lives by resolving mental health challenges in creative and authentic ways.

About the role

We work from a contractor-based model therefore allowing you to create your own hours, set your own days, and choose your own clients. We have no minimum requirements and are completely flexible with how you would like to work.

We provide services for clients across a wide spectrum of presenting concerns. Some of our key attributes are:

You must be registered with AHPRA and eligible for a Medicare provider number.

Essential skills from you:

• Demonstrated skill and experience in counselling and case management of clients
• Able to provide quality, authentic, integrated, evidenced-based psychological interventions
• A desire to learn and build professional strengths
• Ability to effectively engage, establish rapport and retain clients
• Strong ethical principles and values
• Sense of humour and enjoys a good chat over a cup of tea or coffee
• Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Liability Insurance

NOTE: Our standard fee for a 55- minute consultation with our practitioners is $205. Most consultations qualify for a Medicare rebate, making the out-of-pocket expense approx. $115. The fee for our Clinical Psychologist is $245, also leaving an out-of-pocket expense of approx. $155.
