AMC is a well-established clinic located in a purpose-built facility situated at the southern boundary of Box Hill, one of Melbourne’s most vibrant and diverse commercial and residential hubs.
Unlike the majority of Medical Centres that have opened in the Box Hill Central area, our doctors provide traditional general practice care including home visits and residential care facilities. We are heavily involved in data-driven patient care, fully appreciating that the government is moving towards funding tied to quality improvements. We do not churn patients through the door--if anything, we do the opposite--but our income per patient is high due to the high proportion of patients having health assessments and chronic disease management care. We are also--by some margin--the easiest practice to access in the area.

Patients appreciate that they can park ten metres from the door--as do our doctors!

The Work Environment
The clinic was purpose-built about 20 years ago. We have 2 floors with seven consulting rooms (4 down, 3 up), 2 allied health rooms and a treatment room. We have lift access to the second floor and a secondary waiting area down stairs. You will work along 5 GPs, all who have worked at the clinic or surrounding suburbs for many years. We have visiting psychologists and physiotherapists and a pathology collection centre is on-site.
We pride ourselves on providing comprehensive and compassionate care and you will be supported by our professional management team that run our doctor-owned boutique group of general practices. We understand the good and the bad of general practice, and will work with you to help you achieve your vocational and financial goals. We aim to be as family friendly as possible and appreciate that the important things in life are outside the confines of the medical centre.

Our Patients
As an established clinic, with doctors who have served the surrounding suburbs for many years, we have a very high proportion of loyal patients. Our patients have a higher than average incidence of chronic disease and mental health, mirroring the interests of our doctors. Given good management of these conditions take time, we have many longer appointments and our doctors see 20-25 patients a day.
Our Ideal Doctor
We are looking for a dynamic, young doctor to take a clinical lead in aiding the future development of the clinic. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic doctor looking to leave their mark on the practice. We believe the position would be a fantastic opportunity for a newly minted GP. There is the potential for clinical leadership throughout our medical group of four practices. A warm smile, great interpersonal skills and passion for general practice a must!
