The major factor of why Federal Health introduced the MBS Bulk Billing for After-Hours services was to cut emergency department presentations to local and base hospitals. Government figures demonstrate Regional Hospitals on average have approximately 26000 presentations as recorded in the last 6 months. With the basis of an AMDS, if we cut a third of those presentations the Government will save up to $3.2 million each year, (Government estimates a cost of $497 on average for each presentation).

Call My Doctor services include 100% Bulk Billed After-Hours In-Home Consultations under the Health Act of Australia and Governance (AMDS) and Telehealth services which does not lay under the AMDS and is a stand-alone pay for service.

Call My Doctor have contracted doctors for In-Home Consultations who also have the capability to provide our other product, Telehealth Services, where Cat 4 and Cat 5 patients can phone or video link directly to one of our doctors and will also be able to receive their scripts from our Partner Pharmacy as/if required. Our Telehealth service makes after hours consultations more accessible in the remote areas.
