Albert Park Medical Centre
Albert Park Medical Centre is situated at 51 Dundas Place, Albert Park, adjacent to the Albert Park village and opposite the Child and Maternal Health Centre. We provide high quality health care in a friendly, caring and professional environment. New patients are always welcome.
Our doctors have a broad range of post-graduate training which allows the clinic to provide medical services from general family medicine to antenatal shared care, paediatrics and cardio-vascular, sports, travel and skin cancer medicine.
We offer a multi-disciplinary focus to health care with allied health services and visiting consultant specialists. Our practice nurses are fully qualified to administer vaccines including those for children and travel. Melbourne Pathology is onsite Monday to Friday from 8am to 1pm to assist with all your pathology requirements.
As medical practitioners, by getting to know you and your family, we can help not only treat your illnesses, but also understand the effects ‘you’ have on your illness and the effects the illness has on you and those around you. Our aim is to treat you as a whole person, not just an isolated illness. We are also committed to upholding the AMA code of ethics.
We are an AGPAL Accredited General Practice. General practice accreditation is independent recognition that this practice is committed to delivering safe and high quality health care to our patients by complying with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Standards for General Practices.
AGPAL Accreditation helps you to know your doctor and practice team are committed to delivering high quality health care in a safe environment.
This means your practice team:
- can clearly identify who you are
- educates you about your health needs
- protects your privacy
- appropriately maintains your health records by clinical team members
- stays informed about current quality health care
- continuously looks at ways to improve, and
- is committed to your health care.
From time to time Medical students may be present at this practice. This is an important part of a student’s training as it allows them to put theoretical learnings into a real world context. The staff and Doctors at the practice will seek your consent before involving a Medical Student in your care.
GP Registrar TrainingAlbert Park Medical Centre is an accredited training practice with GP Synergy. This means Doctors within our practice meet specific requirements as set out by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and/or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine relating to the training and supervision of GP Registrars.
We treat our GPs as partners, giving them the autonomy to run successful practices.
We welcome new opportunities to grow our network and expand our service offering.
