Adelaide Health Care
Adelaide Health Care opened in 1999 as an independent association of five general practitioners. Over the years we have steadily grown and we now have fifteen General Practitioners working at the practice. We have three Primary Health Care Nurses who are essential to our team approach. We have a number of GPs who work in special interest areas.
Our aim is to provide high quality health service to people who live, work or study in the city or nearby suburbs. In addition to the more traditional medical care of illness, we promote better health by focusing on illness prevention and improving well-being, both physically and emotionally. We aim to support patients to learn about their health and healthy living.
TeachingSince 2003 we have been an accredited training practice for GP Registrars. These Registrars are qualified doctors who have completed their hospital-based years and are training in the specialty of General Practice. At times we have nursing students and medical students undertaking placements at the practice. In providing GP training, we work closely with GPEx, the GP training provider for South Australia.
Allied Health
At Adelaide Health Care we work with a broad team of experienced allied health practitioners including Tracey Sloan (Mental Health and Wellbeing Clinician), Elizabeth Banitsiotis (Psychologist), Rhea Bergmann (Dietician), Chelsea Ciano (Exercise Physiologist) and Ann Barwick (Podiatrist). We also have Clinpath Pathology onsite. There is a pharmacy next door to our building.
