Orana Early Childhood Intervention
A community based not for profit Early Childhood Intervention service for young children 0-8 years. Our service caters for children with disabilities, developmental delays and those “at risk of delays”.
A family centred service, endeavouring to meet the needs of the family as a whole, not just the child as an individual. Families are an integral part of the early childhood intervention team and are resourced to become their child’s primary intervention worker.
Commencing in Dubbo in 1984 as a 3 day a week service with a part time teacher and an assistant we have grown to operate 5 days a week with a staff of 14 providing services to over 200 children and their families.
Some Government funds are received to provide services to children who have disabilities or delays in 2 or more areas.
Based in Dubbo, we provide educational and therapeutic services to the children residing in Dubbo and the surrounding towns of Wellington, Narromine, Warren, Trangie, Gilgandra and Coonabarabran.
