Speech Pathology

MouthWorks Speech Pathology are able to provide services for a wide range of communication and swallowing difficulties including speech therapy activities.  Our experienced staff specialise in studying, assessing and treating a variety of conditions, including:

• speech problems

• reading and writing problems

• chewing and swallowing issues

• orofacial myofunctional issues (such as immature swallowing, unusual tongue posture etc)

• saliva management problems

• fluency or stuttering, and

• voice problems

Lactation Consultancy

Our International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) are able to help with breastfeeding difficulties.  IBCLCs are trained in assisting mothers and babies with feeding problems that can arise from a variety of factors.  These might include:

• complex birth histories

• maternal lactation or supply issues

• medication effects on breastfeeding

• infant medical conditions, and

• problems in the mouth such as cleft lip and palate, or tongue and lip ties.
