Our Clinic
Our West Burleigh clinic is conveniently located off the M1 Pacific Motorway (Exit 89) on the beautiful Tallebudgera Creek at West Burleigh.

We are in close proximity to Schuster's Park, David Fleay Wildlife Park and 2BKids Play centre which suits those families wishing to combine their clinic visit with a special adventure or diversion for younger siblings.  Plantation House Cafe is at the entrance to our building and it is popular with parents, children and siblings for refreshments before and after therapy sessions.
In 1995, Therapy Matters started as a Saturday morning clinic in a Medical Centre at Kingscliff, Northern NSW. Tania Teitzel (Therapy Matters Director) opened the clinic to complement her work as a speech pathology researcher at the University of Queensland and to provide the first private speech pathology service to children of the Tweed Valley area.

From these humble beginnings, the clinic expanded and moved into increasingly bigger office premises in Tugun and then to its current location at West Burleigh. Therapy Matters welcomed its first associate speech pathologists in 2001 when Tania went on maternity leave and over the years has had over 21 associate speech pathologists who have contributed to the high quality services provided to the communities of the Gold Coast and Northern NSW.

Our clinic name, Therapy Matters, was officially adopted in 2006 to reflect the growing number of associate speech pathologists joining our team as well as an Office Manager, Occupational Therapist and Psychologist. Collectively, our team has remained committed, over the years, to therapy for children that matters and makes a difference in their lives.
