Mentone Medical Clinic is a medical practice open to serve the community. We provide comprehensive and affordable medical care since all appointments are bulk billed. We strongly believe in this module as we think that comprehensive medical care should be available and affordable to all Australians.

Our Doctors Dr. Rino Arcon MD, FRACGP

Dr. Arcon has worked for over 15 years both in rural and urban Australia and as such is well-versed in all aspects of general practice. His interests include: all areas of general practicve, skin cancer checks, minor surgical procedures, etc.

Dr. Peter O’Brien MBBS

Dr. O’Brien was for 40 years a general practitioner in rural Australia and as such has vast experience and skills required of a general practitioner. His interests include: all areas of general practice and mental health.

Dr. Indu Amarakoon MBBS

Dr. Indu has worked for many years both in Sri Lanka and in Australia as a general practitioner. Her interests are: all areas of general practice, child health, women health, chronic disease management etc.

Dr. Ramesh Baduwardene MD, FRACGP

Dr. Ramesh is an experienced general practitioner who has worked for many years bth in Qld and Victoria. His interests are all areas of general practice and chronic disease management etc.

Dr. Isaac Olaniyi MBBS, FRACGP, Cert. Dermoscopy

Dr. Isaac has worked for many years in the UK, South Africa and Rural and Metropolitan Australia in general practice, emergency medicine, obstetrics, surgery and orthopaedics. His interests are: all areas of general practice, skin cancer surgery, mental health, orthopaedics and trauma, women’s health and chronic disease management etc.

Our Allied Health Staff Ms. Mary Lucas APD (Accredited Practising Dietitian), B. Nutrition and Dietetics (Hons.)

Mary is a distinguished accredited dietician and nutritionist. Patients can expect expert nutritional advice on a wide range of chronic conditions such as diabetes, pre-diabetes, coronary heart disease, obesity, high cholesterol, coeliac disease, irritable bowel syndrome and gastrointestinal disorders. She is available to take bookings.

Mr. Ganesh Ilango MPsych (Counselling) Monash Univ., PGDip (Psychology) Monash Univ., BA Psychology and Biology, Westminster College (USA).

Mr Ilango has experience in working with a wide range of clients presenting with a myriad of concerns. Having worked at various settings including schools, universities and non-governmental organizations, Ganesh has experience in working with children, adolescents, adults and low-socio-economic populations. Ganesh has also gained experience in administering a range of personality and cognitive assessments. Having studied and lived in multiple countries, he has experience in engaging and creating an impact on individuals from linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Ms. Michelle Pasinati BSc, MCIAud, MAudA (CCP)

Michelle is a highly qualified and independent audiologist who provides a hearing aid clinic offering premium hearing aids to adults and children. She will do free hearing tests for adults and children under the age of four years. Other areas of interest include: Industrial and pre-employment screenings, police and pilot hearing tests, hearing aid fittings and adjustments, tinnitus counselling, ear wax removal, custom ear plugs for music, noise and swimming.

Ms. Vanesa Ogues-Canete RN, BNsg,GCDE, CDE (Credentialed Diabetes Nurse Educator)

Since completing her initial nursing studies, Vanesa has had the privilege of working in a variety of different nursing environments, including working at St Vincent’s Private Hospital and with the Royal District Nursing Service. Vanesa also worked extensively amongst the Indigenous community in Remote Western Australia and it was this experience, which was most memorable that sparked her interest in Diabetes in the first place. As a credentialled Diabetes Nurse Educator, Vanesa offers education for people with pre-diabetes (IGT), Type 2 diabetes, as well as for people with diabetes during pregnancy. She is available to take bookings.
