Outlook Gardens was started many years ago by like-minded Reformed people, who had a vision of establishing a retirement and aged care facility for members of the Reformed community, as well as other Christian people.  Christians from all walks of life and from many different denominations now live in the Village, although the Dutch heritage is still strong.

Outlook Gardens has 2 separate areas, the Retirement Village and the Aged Care Facility.

In the Village, newly retired couples or singles buy the right to a unit and live there in the immediate vicinity of similar minded people, in a loving and caring community. For people who are still independent Outlook Gardens offers a great option for comfortable independent living, while introducing some basic safeguards, such as an emergency button in up to 3 locations within the unit for immediate attention.

The Village is comprised of  52 Independent Living Units varying in design and layout, from 7.5 to 11 squares in size. Set amongst beautiful gardens and designed for privacy, these units leave an impression of cosiness and togetherness.

All units are provided with up to date features and are specially designed to make life easy and comfortable.

The Aged Care Facility was opened in 1994 and currently provides 95 “Ageing in Place” beds, catering for respite, low care, high care, dementia care and palliative care residents. We have dedicated and specialist staff who provide excellent care and a wonderful homelike atmosphere for our residents.

All residents’ rooms are self-contained as bed-sitting rooms with built-in wardrobe and full en-suite with shower, vanity unit and toilet. The residents are encouraged to make their rooms ‘gezellig’ and like home, keeping their own furniture, décor and treasured items.

The Aged Care Facility – which operates in an environment regulated by Government standards – provides excellent quality care for its residents.
