Myeloma Foundation of Australia
Who We Are
Co-Founder and Patron of Myeloma Foundation of Australia, Robert Moran, (right) being presented with his Order of Australia Medal (OAM) by the Governor of Victoria, Professor David de Kretser A.C. at a function at Government House Melbourne in May 2008 for services to the Foundation.
Myeloma Australia was formed in 1998 by a small number of
driven people, each profoundly affected by myeloma, who discovered for themselves that diagnosis was often slow and uncertain, reliable information on myeloma scarce and difficult
to access, understanding, support, hope and opportunities for fellowship with those affected by the same condition hard to find.
The Foundation’s mission is to facilitate myeloma research in Australia, to support and inform those living with the disease and educate those involved in its care and treatment. We are determined to raise community awareness and understanding of myeloma and to improve patient access to the latest treatments at affordable prices.
