Doctor Collyer established his practice in 1987. It was originally located in a small 2 room shop at 151 Oxford Street, Bulimba. The practice then moved to 204 Oxford Street, Bulimba in September 1997 until January 2008 when it moved to current location.

With vibrant green paint and red linings, 301 Riding Road is a historical building in the Bulimba region. Many of our patients and staff alike remember and reminisce about the rich history of the building. Previously a family owned general store, Bulimba doctors has reinvigorated the small, family owned charm that so many were familiar with. With a few of our own touches...

Along with Dr Collyer, Bulimba Doctors is fortunate to have on board Dr Jessica de Lopera, Queensland's top graduate in the RACGP college exams of 2019, Dr Danene Hopkins, who is a Quality Assurance examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and Dr Cari-Leigh Bennett. All docs enjoy teaching, and learning from, students and registrars who will become the next generation of medical practitioners.


In addition to consultations in the rooms, our doctors can provide home visits as needed (to existing patients) and attend local aged care facilities.

A wide range of nursing services are provided at the practice which include child health checks, immunisations, spirometry, ECG, wound dressings, medicals and health assessments. We also provide comprehensive programs for chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and asthma.

Doctor Collyer has been teaching medical students of Queensland University, Bond University and Griffith University since 1990. Dr Jess and Dr Danene also teach the next generation of medical students.
