As a growing and progressive organisation with ongoing aged care vacancies, Autumn Aged Care gives staff opportunities to develop their careers to their preferred level. We always seek to promote from within before looking outside the organisation. To help staff reach their potential we also offer career coaching. We have a care mentoring program with dedicated mentors providing support and training to develop skill levels.

Autumn Aged Care provide support and encouragement for all staff develop skills and the potential to achieve further qualifications. Autumn Aged Care invests in continual education and training for all staff beyond the mandatory requirements we offer a range of training to enhance skill and capability within the aged care services area. DNA Wellness and Nutrition Testing/Profiling
Healthy staff are happy staff. As a leading healthcare provider, Autumn Aged Care is proud to make the latest innovative healthcare practices available to staff. The age of individualized healthcare is here and we want our staff to have access to DNA health and nutrition profiling so they can lead the healthiest life possible and be in the best health to care for residents DNA testing is mouth swab, personalise and confidential nutrition assessment specially provided to each staff member. The DNA footprint supports a best match diet or nutrition guide for your make up. Free to all staff, valued $65.00 Staff are also able to access DNA Medication Compatibility Testing (separate from wellness & nutrition) valued at $100. Results are private and confidential (DNA test is optional)

Living Well – Health and Wellness Program
At Autumn Aged Care we want our staff to be vibrant and healthy in mind and body. The evidence is clear that physical activity is associated with multiple emotional and physical health benefits, but there are many different ways to seek a healthy life balance with reduced stress.

Autumn Aged Care provides a $600 per annum rebate to all staff following the 6 month probation period of employment. This is a reimbursement for costs incurred by the staff member for an activity or purchase that contributes to their personal health and wellbeing and will ultimately contribute to a positive working environment. Rebates will be made upon provision of a receipt and evidence of expenditure by the staff member as approved by management.

Examples include:

Gym membership or other similar physical exercise programs
Quit Smoking programs including patches and hypnotherapy sessions.
Weight Loss programs
Specialized work shoes
Targeted Re-conditioning
There are times that staff may lose some level of fitness and strength. To ensure staff can continue to work without putting themselves at risk, we work with them to get them back to their best. Staff who can benefit from re-conditioning are offered personal training to build strength and increase activity levels, this may include returning from an injury or illness.

Reward and Recognition
Autumn Aged Care staff spend their year caring for others so it is natural the Christmas party is an opportunity to let their hair down and celebrate the fantastic work and experiences of the past year. A special celebration is arranged for all staff to attend the end of year function.

Staff member awards are given out at the Christmas function, many prizes and awards are announced for our most outstanding Top 3 staff members as voted by all staff for the year.

First award is $500 visa gift card or equivalent
Second award $200 visa gift card or equivalent
Third award $100 visa gift card or equivalent
