Centrally located within the Ipswich Medical Precinct, close to St Andrew's Ipswich Private Hospital and Ipswich Hospital, our modern clinic provides ample off-street parking and easy access to complementary service providers.
Our experienced team of Doctors, most of whom have worked for the clinic for several decades, boast a wealth of knowledge and offer caring, compassionate professional advice and service..
A history of superior health care
In 1975 the Patterson and Cameron Hart Practices merged and moved into a purpose built clinic to 24 East Street, Ipswich with 6 doctors and East Street Clinic was formed.

Over the years a lack of patient parking became a problem and a decision was made to build a new clinic on the current location of 17 Roderick Street. The new premises, known as East Clinic were opened in January 1984 providing room for 6 Doctors, a 3 room treatment area and staff area. It also has 2 commercial shops at the front and 36 off street car parks. It was built in a prime block in the heart of the medical precinct with both private and public hospitals in walking distance and most specialists located in Roderick and Pring streets.
The original doctors to start at the East Clinic were Dr Cecil Doughty, Dr Vlas Efstathis, Dr Peter Godbolt, Dr Jim Howes, Dr Tom Walker and Dr Philip Goldston.
Over the years a few changes have occurred with the clinic having a full refit and modernised to have 7 consulting rooms for GP's and a dedicated chronic disease clinic room to conduct CVC's and GPMP's.
