Claire values providing a safe, fun and child-focused learning environment for children to achieve their language and literacy goals. She works to ensure she understands each individual child to incorporate their interests in order to make working on their goals engaging.



Prior to co-founding Play With Words, Claire was a primary school teacher and draws on her 7 years experience as an early years educator. Within the clinic environment she has experience with early language development, receptive and expressive language intervention and targeted literacy support. She is passionate about literacy intervention and supporting children with their transition into school. Claire runs our yearly Get Set for Prep Group Program.

Hanen "SPARK Communications" - an evidence based parent coaching program for children with language delay.

Director / Speech Pathologist

Jen is passionate about supporting children to develop their communication, social and literacy skills. She enjoys making therapy meaningful and engaging for children through play.



Jen is a certified practising speech pathologist registered with Speech Pathology Australia. Professional qualifications include a Masters Degree in Speech Pathology and an Honours Degree in Psychology. She has experience in paediatric private practice, conducting assessments and delivering intervention for speech, language, literacy and social communication difficulties.
