Vision
Brisbane Equine Assisted Therapy is proud to be the Equine Psychotherapy Institute Training Centre for Queensland, making us a hub at the forefront of Equine Assisted Therapy training in Australia. Mental Health practitioners hoping to train in this field in an accredited model, will train here with Heather. We pride ourselves on offering current, effective, evidence-based therapeutic and experimental learning supports provided by practitioners with the most comprehensive training in the state.

Practitioners
We have a small team of passionate and dedicated mental health professionals who have each completed extensive training with Heather through the Equine Psychotherapy Institute. As a smaller clinic, you can guarantee you will be treated as an individual, with privacy, respect and supports tailored to meet your individual needs

Facilities
A boutique facility, on 10 private acres nestled in a rolling valley, reconnect with nature amongst the trees, visiting eagles, our wonderful herd and local wildlife. Our purpose built therapy centre has three modern therapy rooms situated right in the paddock, so if you choose to access our room based services, you will still be surrounded by nature with views of our wonderful herd.

Horses
Our horses are unique and wonderful beings. We pride ourselves on offering our horses a home that meets their natural needs. Our horse's welfare and including horses in this work ethically is at the core of our model. Horses have their yes and their no listened to here. In session, you will meet horses who have the freedom to be their true and authentic selves. Horses have the choice to participate in sessions and this ensures those moments of connection are a true reflection of true connection.
