Our Practice


Plantagenet Medical has been providing medical services to the community in Mount Barker and outlying areas for over 35 years. We have a dedicated team of general practitioners, nurses and admin staff who are committed to the health and well-being of their clients.

Our doctors also provide emergency services and inpatient care to Plantagenet District Hospital on a rostered basis. We have practitioners with wide ranging interests including Chronic Disease Management, Skin Cancer, Women's and Children's Health, Preventative Health and Palliative Care.

The practice building, named The Dr Christopher Bourke Building, in recognition of a long-serving GP (1950-1985) in Mount Barker, is adjacent to Plantagenet District Hospital which operates an Emergency Department, inpatient care, Hostel accommodation, Nursing Home and Dementia Care, and a Palliative Care Unit.
