The founders of Oodles have extensive experience in working and living in rural and remote areas across Australia, having met whilst working in a school in Far North Queensland. These formative experiences shaped both Jodi and Kiera as clinicians. They saw that so many children had desperate need for intensive, personalised supports beyond what the school context could offer; to not only meet their educational needs, but also their emotional, social and functional goals.
Oodles was born out of a desire to fill this gap in a way that is sustainable, meaningful and culturally safe - not just for children, but for people of all ages. Both Kiera and Jodi are driven by the desire to build a more accessible and contextual service, with a strong community presence and focus. They are eager to not only provide a remote service, but to become a part of that community; to enjoy the natural beauty and magnificent lifestyle and experience the challenges of remoteness alongside those they work with each day. Whilst providing an essential therapy service, we also want Oodles to be a place of fun and laughter, where children and adults alike can kick goals, spread joy and not take ourselves too seriously!
