We are Ashgrove's Dentists! Dr Lou grew up in Ashgrove and attended local schools, she continues to live locally and her children are following her local schooling.

Dr Lou is supported by a team of legends - Dr Sophia Frankcombe, Dr Jana Currall, Dr Jodie Elliot, Dr Astin Friskin and Dr Beth Keir. Our dentists are supported by the wonderful Oral Health Therapists Madi Kirk, Eliza Talford, Joshua Wojtas and Hygienist Mandy Speakman and all the fabulous team members!

We love the community feel in Ashgrove, and strive to be part of this fantastic community. Our dentists attend many of the local daycare centers and kindergartens to present an interactive session teach the kids about dental health and hygiene. We further support the community by sponsoring many of the local sports teams (GPS rugby, Soccer) and school events (St Finbarr's Fashion Parade, Oakleigh State School Fete, many local school Newsletters etc.)

Our Practice
Our original practice (Tooth 1.0) opened in June 2015. In late 2022 we moved into our beautiful new space two doors down (Tooth 2.0). We were like a beautiful plant that was rootbound, we had out grown our old pot and it was time for a new one!

The roots of who we are, have not change. We have the same amazing team, same ethos, same Dad jokes. Just a new pot that we can grow and blossom into.

A larger space means our dentists and Oral Health Therapists can offer more appointments with less wait to our patients.

With the expansion, we introduced an additional service to our patients, our “Queens of the Clean” our Oral Heath Therapists Madi, Eliza and Mandy (hygienist). They have a special focus on paediatrics, prevention, education and treatment of gum disease. Rest assured, you will still see your dentist for an examination (and catch-up chin wag) as well as at comprehensive dental treatment.

Our Planmeca dental chairs are second to none when it comes to comfort (also referred to as the ‘golden marshmallow' By Dr Lou), and are industry leaders for dental treatment. We also have the latest in digital radiographs, which means a much lower radiation dose for you than traditional radiographs. We have an OPG and Lat-Ceph machine onsite for your convenience. You can relax and tune out during your treatment by watching a movie. We even have noise cancelling headphones so you can't hear the noisy drill. For our more nervous patients, we offer a separate patient lounge (low sensory space) and nitrous oxide (happy gas).
