Why work with us
What does it cost?
There is no charge for this service as it is bulk-billed to Medicare
Who do we see?
We see children and adults from age 0 all the way to 100 years old
If you already know that you are COVID positive and are unwell, you should contact your regular GP first. If your regular GP recommends a face-to-face assessment or you don't have a GP, we are able to see you but if you are very unwell consider going to Emergency.
How do I get my results?
If you have a Rapid Antigen Test you will be given your result during your appointment and will be given a copy of your result to take away with you. We use the Abbott Panbio Test, for more information about this test and its accuracy click here
If you have a PCR test you will be sent an SMS with your result directly from the lab, usually within 48 hours. If you have had a PCR test and not received the result after 72hrs please call 4cyte directly on 13 42 98.
The choice of test used depends on a number of factors including availability and can not be guaranteed.
How do I book?
To book, click on the banner link "Click Here to Book Now"
We prefer appointments so that we can guarantee everyone will be seen, you can book at very short notice and the website has our full availability.
Walk-ins will be seen subject to availability and you may have to wait in your car for a long time as we will prioritise patients who have an appointment. To avoid being turned away, try and book online, there are always same day appointments available.
If you have difficulty with our online booking service you can call us during clinic hours on 0493 157 227. This line is only for booking, no other information will be given out over the phone due to privacy laws.
Medical Certificates
We only provide medical certificates when we have completed a detailed medical assessment. We do not provide certificates for patients if that is the only reason for your visit. If you only require a medical certificate then there are several options.
COVID POSITIVE
Because 7 days leave is mandated by law, your employer should only be requesting evidence of your illness therefore if you...
Tested positive on a RAT test - when you report your result (https://dhvicgovau.powerappsportals.com/rapid-antigen-test/) you will receive an SMS from the Victorian Government. All you need to do is provide your employer with this SMS, it contains your unique identifier and dates of isolation for leave. This is an official communication and so no further medical evidence is needed.
Tested positive on PCR - You can provide your employer with your dated PCR test result sent as an SMS or the SMS that you will receive after 1-2 days from the Victorian Government, this contains your unique identifier and dates of isolation for leave. No further medical evidence is needed.
If these options do not suit you and we did not complete the initial assessment, then you will need to book a telehealth appointment with your regular GP for a certificate.
COVID NEGATIVE
If we completed your initial assessment, please contact us with your full name, date of birth and contact phone number and we will contact you by telephone to arrange a certificate by email.
If we did not complete your initial assessment then please contact your regular GP.
We do not provide clearance certificates under any circumstances, if you need one of these, then you will need to go to your regular GP.
