Sunshine Coast host some of the best beaches in the world, rimmed with wide stretches of clean white sand and a choice of surf or calm bays. Popular beaches are patrolled by surf lifesavers and are rarely crowded therefore allowing plentiful space to enjoy playing beach sports. The Sunshine Coast beaches are equipped with excellent recreational facilities like beachfront parklands, children's playgrounds, undercover barbecue and picnic areas, amenities such as public toilets and showers.

Popular beaches along the Sunshine Coast stretch include: Sunshine Beach, Peregian Beach, Noosa and Mooloolaba. The crisp air, stunning views and fascinating towns of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland are another side to the ‘surf and sun' of the Sunshine Coast. A distinctive feature of the Sunshine Coast is the Glass House Mountains which were named by Captain Cook in 1770. The Glass House Mountains features spectacular landscape scenery, as well as offering numerous walking trails suited for both the experienced hiker and for the morecasual bush walk. Other areas include Maleny, Montville, Mapleton, Nambour, Kenilworth,Yandina and Beerwah.
