Our Practice
Camberwell Road Medical Practice is part of the IPN network, which works in partnership with Doctors to deliver high quality, community-based healthcare. Our centre aims to provide comprehensive, coordinated healthcare services promting health and wellbeing as well as managing illness.
Most of our Doctors have worked in the area in their own private practices until they amalgamated together at the current location in 2010. We have a fantastic, friendly and professional team of receptionists and nurses many of whom have worked with us since we opened.
Our practice is easily accessible by public transport. We are a 5 minute walk from the trams at Camberwell Junction or a 10 minute walk from Camberwell train station. We also have ample parking underneath our practice, accessible via the driveway on the city side of the building.

After Hours and Home Visits
After Hours health care is provided by Australian Locum Medical Services (after hours home visiting doctors).
Home visits during clinic hours are provided for existing patients within a 5km radius of the clinic and are provided at the Doctor’s discretion. After hours, public holiday and weekend home visits can be arranged directly with ALMS on 13 26 60.
In house after Hours care is also provided through our arrangement with Rivoli After Hours Medical Practice, located on the Ground Floor of our building.
Telephone & Email PolicyMost issues are best dealt with in consultation with your Doctor, though he/she will endeavour to take your call where possible. At times your Doctor may be attending to other patients and you may need to return your call. Please inform the Receptionist if your call is urgent.
Patients may contact the practice by email on camberwellroad
ipn.com.au. It is the policy of this practice not to book appointments or provide clinical advice or test results via email.
Doctors will advise when it is likely test results will be received. Please call and the Receptionist or Practice Nurse will advise if your results have arrived and if your Doctor requires you to make an appointment for discussion.
Prescriptions (including repeats) and referrals to specialists require an appointment and will not be provided from a phone request. In unavoidable circumstances, Doctors may provide a repeat script for referral without a consultation, hoever this is done at the Doctor’s discretion and may incur a fee which is not claimable from Medicare.
It is the policy of this Practice that referrals are NOT back-dated and it is the patient’s responsibility to ensure they have an in-date referral prior to their specialist appointment.
Recalls and RemindersOur centre participates in State and Territory reminder systems which inform you of recurring healthcare issues such as annual check-ups, care planning and immunisations etc. From time to time, you may receive reminders appropriate to your care. Please advise your Doctor or Reception if you do not wish to receive reminders.
Patients will always be contacted for recall where clinically indicated (e.g. abnormal results).
