Our History

AGED CARE BETHANIEIn 1954, Bethanie started operations as Churches of Christ Homes. Our first aged care facility was in Joondanna but we quickly grew to include aged care home units in other Perth suburbs, as well as Bunbury.

As Bethanie built new aged care facilities, our reputation for high quality care and accommodation strengthened. Private and City Council owned aged care homes started to seek out our management expertise to run their facilities.

This enabled Bethanie to grow and take its place as a leader in aged care, retirement living and affordable housing in Western Australia.

Today we are Western Australia’s largest not-for-profit aged care and retirement living provider and have 60 years experience in aged care.

Bethanie is located across 24 locations in Perth and Regional Western Australia and we employ over 1,600 staff and more than 500 volunteers. Bethanie’s team are ‘local people, supporting local people‘ and they provide warm and friendly care and services that promote quality of life and sociability for our customers.

Bethanie’s offering is all encompassing, including 12 villages offering high quality service, as well as aged care in the home, social centres, affordable housing and residential aged care. Bethanie has over 1000 aged care suites across Perth and Regional Western Australia.
