Employment Medicals

In an effort to provide an environment that is healthy and safe for its employees and that has minimal risk of exacerbation of an employee's pre-existing medical condition, most large organisations or companies require employment medical assessments.

Usually this will require provision of relevant details of medical history with use of a questionnaire which makes it easier to identify persons with pre-existing conditions that may be exacerbated by their employment or whose condition has an abnormal risk of injury or may have special needs.

Your medical information is kept confidential except shared with your employing body or insurance as appropriate with your consent.

Usually medical tests are directed towards duties in the job applied for. The Pre-Employment Medical only assess current ability and does not attempt to predict future deterioration.

Pre-Employment Medicals are tailored to job specific requirements with the addition of any of the following as needed:

Audiometry
Spirometry
ECG
Drug & Alcohol Screening
Chest X-ray
Blood Tests
