To ensure that the practitioner you choose is appropriately accredited, visit the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). If the practitioner is a member of the ASO, they will be a registered specialist.

The Australian Society of Orthodontists' charitable arms include:
Australian Foundation for Research and Education - The peak body for orthodontic research and education in Australia, giving financial support to universities, students and researchers contributing to the future of orthodontics.

ASO (NSW Branch) Orthodontic Trust Fund - A charitable trust with the purpose of funding a Chair in Orthodontics at The University of Sydney and supporting the funding of academic staff in NSW and the ACT.

Give a Smileâ„¢ - A public health goodwill initiative that allows ASO members to receive at least one patient annually from public dental waiting lists and treat them for free in private practice.
