About GRICS
Gippsland Regional Integrated Cancer Service (GRICS) is one of nine Integrated Cancer Services (ICS) that were formed across Victoria in response to recommendations of the document ‘A cancer services framework for Victoria (2003). The ICS are funded by the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services and consist of three metropolitan, five regional and a state-wide paediatric ICS.
The GRICS program was implemented as a joint venture involving 16 health partners across the Gippsland region with Latrobe Regional Hospital acting as host agency. Under its governance structure, GRICS holds no direct authority over its member agencies, working instead to achieve improved service outcomes by fostering strong working relationships with its membership and stakeholders
