Green Dispensary Compounding was originally created out of our Green Dispensary Pharmacy in Erindale in the year 1997 after a need for the use of Bio-Identical Hormones in Hormone Replacement Therapy for women was prevalent. The demand became so large that in 2005 Green Dispensary Compounding moved to its own location in Norwood and became one of the first fully dedicated Compounding Pharmacies in Australia.

Here they were able to expand their operations by building a NATA-certified clean room to include sterile preparations such as eye drops, injectable and implants, to name a few. Green Dispensary Compounding pride themselves on constantly striving to maintain the highest standards and always include the best quality assured ingredients available. Imported ingredients, where necessary, are analysed by an independent, registered analytical laboratory and at all times Green Dispensary Compounding derive their ingredients from GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) suppliers who are approved by the TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) or the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) in the USA.

Now, in 2017 we are operating out of a custom built facility dedicated solely to the creation of customised personalised medicine in three separate departments within the building. We have specialised rooms for hormones, cosmeceuticals and sterile production. This facility is designed to the absolute highest standards to ensure the safety of the medication not only for the products but the whole compounding team.

Green Dispensary Compounding work closely in conjunction with doctors and allied health professionals to make custom medications which are precisely matched to the patient's needs and account for their individual circumstances. This maximises the efficiency of the medication and also minimises any harmful side effects which may be brought on by other medical treatments.

In the future, we aim to shift the focus from purely ‘managing' already existing diseases and illnesses to incorporating more systems of prevention and promotion of wellness, because, as they say, “Prevention is better than cure”. Our dedicated pharmaceutical team are constantly working on the development of novel drug formulations and drug delivery systems.
