The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (Vic Branch) is the largest nursing and midwifery organisation in Victoria representing over 81,000 nurses, midwives and carers in relation to industrial, professional and occupational health and safety matters.
ANMF (Vic Branch) works tirelessly to improve the ability of nurses, midwives and carers to provide high quality care to patients, residents and clients, and to improve wages and working conditions.
The ANMF (Vic Branch) is also involved in the development of policy relating to issues that affect and are impacted by the nursing and midwifery professions, including:
nursing and midwifery practice, professionalism, regulation, education and training
workforce and industrial relations legislation and planning
occupational health and safety
health, aged care and community services delivery and funding

The ANMF (Vic Branch) CPD Program, both online and face to face, has been developed to assist all nurses, midwives and carers, in particular Victorian Branch members, to advance their professional career by providing affordable access to quality professional development and eLearning.
The CPD Portal has the support of a dedicated team of professional educators who are constantly assessing current modules, seminars and workshops and working with expert clinicians and organisations to develop new ones. The eLearning component of the CPD Portal offers evidence-based, peer reviewed modules and online seminars that provide participants with the assurance that the modules they are completing exceed the profession's benchmarks. The modules offered are flexible and allow participants to complete the requirements in their own time and in multiple locations on their computers, tablets, and smartphones. Once a module and feedback is complete the participant receives a certificate they can download and print and the module information is saved to their online professional portfolio.
The CPD Portal is an online learning tool that also provides the user with a professional space, a central hub to record all their employment, formal education, and professional development and workplace project details. This hub is designed to complement the ANF Professional Portfolio folder sent to all members in 2012/13, and assist you to easily record, organise and update your professional information. Modules completed through the ANMF (Vic Branch) Online CPD Portal are automatically included in the portfolio. Keeping an up-to-date record of your continuing professional development and employment will help to maintain an accurate recency of practice and CPD evidence record. These will also assist you when developing a professional and complete resumé.
