Health Workforce Queensland is the leading workforce agency for health professionals looking to work in rural and remote parts of the sunshine state. We have been delivering integrated health workforce solutions to remote and rural Queensland communities since 1998.
Health Workforce Queensland is part of a broader national network of Rural Workforce Agencies that are delivering a workforce passionate about ensuring the wellbeing of Australia's rural and remote communities.
We have provided ongoing support to and been an advocate for the remote and rural health workforce for over 19 years. We have a long-standing connection with Queensland's remote and rural health workforce, general practices, residents and other health organisations.

Why us
The organisation is administered by a Board of Directors made up of elected and appointed representatives. We receive funding from the Australian Government Department of Health and Rural Health Workforce Australia. From 1 July, 2017 we have been contract by the Department of Health to deliver three new, individual yet interconnected, contracts which are:
