About Us
Nick McDonald, founder and CEO of Prestige Inhome Care never dreamt his vision for Prestige would result in having the privilege of supporting over clients across three different states. His father is a Doctor, and seeing how much of a difference his Dad was making in people’s lives made Nick want to follow in his footsteps. He ended up studying nursing and found a job as a nurse, visiting patients who were receiving care and nursing services in their own homes. After experiencing what it was like to work in a nursing home during his studies, Nick was amazed by how much more he could connect with his patients who received home care and better meet their individual needs.

Nick also realised how important it was to have your own familiar possessions and memories around you, especially when you are suffering from an illness or an injury, or living with disability.

Today, Nick and his sister Thea, Chief Operating Officer at Prestige, are proud of the outstanding reputation they have earned from many years of delivering tailored in-home care solutions of the highest quality. They have built a Prestige family of an extraordinary team of experienced and qualified individuals who share the Prestige values and are dedicated to making a difference in peoples’ lives. Prestige Inhome Care has become an established and trusted member of the local communities in which the organisation operates, supporting individuals and families with everything from one off weekly gardening right through to 24 hour care and/or nursing.

Accredited
When we talk about delivering the highest possible standard of care, we really mean it. In fact, we take the quality of our services so seriously that Prestige has obtained ISO 9001:2018 quality accreditation. Obtaining accreditation is difficult and is similar to the process required for a hospital. Whilst not a requirement for the home care industry, we are proud of our accreditation. It shows that an independent auditor has reviewed every aspect of our business and certified that everything is being done to the highest possible standards. Prestige Inhome Care meets all the current Aged Care and Disability standards.


Continuity of Care
At Prestige, we aim to keep the number of carers working in your program to a minimum, to allow you the opportunity to build rapport and feel comfortable with your carers. On occasions when your regular care worker is unavailable, we will try to find another suitable care worker to care for you. We realise that the familiarity and security associated with having the same carers are important to you and we will endeavour to keep substitute carers to a minimum where possible.


Qualified and Experienced People
Prestige has over 20 years of experience in delivering tailored in-home care services. All of our personal care workers have a Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or Home and Community Care, a First Aid Certificate and have been trained by us to assist you in a safe and practical manner. We only engage Registered Division 1 and Enrolled Nurses. All of our staff also participate in regular education, training programs and reviews to maintain the highest possible standard of skills and expertise to ensure that you receive the best possible care.


Unrivalled 24 Hour Inhome Care
Prestige Inhome Care are the leaders in private 24 hour care. We devise a structured, yet tailored program overseen by a dedicated Case Manager – including a team of 6-7 carers to ensure you have someone with you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Over a decade ago we pioneered 24 hour in home care and nursing, providing round-the-clock support to clients in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes.
