RCAA is the only peak professional body that self-regulates the profession and provides membership services exclusively to tertiary qualified Rehabilitation Counsellors in the Australasian Region. RCAA represents a single profession with only qualified Rehabilitation Counsellors and student members. RCAA works to uphold high standards of professional and ethical practice of Rehabilitation Counsellors and strives for ongoing advancement and recognition of our profession.

RCAA's focus is maintaining the integrity of the rehabilitation counselling profession and ensuring the recognition of rehabilitation counselling as a unique profession in its own right. RCAA represents the interests of the rehabilitation counselling profession at State, National, Regional and International levels. RCAA seeks to influence policy direction by actively lobbying on behalf of its members for reforms that positively impact on the field of rehabilitation.
