Sexual Health Quarters (SHQ)
Sexual Health Quarters (SHQ), formerly The Family Planning Association of Western Australia, is a dynamic, non-profit organisation with a focus on optimising sexual health and relationship services for all, with a particular focus on young people and people facing barriers to accessing appropriate health and wellbeing.
At Sexual Health Quarters we believe that education is the key to happy and healthy adult relationships, and that relationship and sexuality education is a shared responsibility between school, home, and community. We provide a range of clinical, counselling, and educational services designed to empower Western Australians with the knowledge and skills to make informed, safe, responsible, and healthy decisions about their sexual health and relationships.
Sexual Health Quarters has spent the last 50 years treating, supporting, and educating young people, LGBTIQA+ communities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people living with a disability, people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, people from regional, rural and remote communities, sex workers, people exposed to violence, and anyone else falling through the cracks. We do this holistically by providing innovative clinical services, tailored counselling, and inspiring education that empowers people of all genders, ages, cultures and sexualities with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to make informed choices about their sexual health and relationships.
