This session will cover the aetiology, epidemiology and pathology of endometrial cancer, and also describe clinical presentation and management of this disease.

Learning objectives
By the end of this session you will be able to:

  • recognise the presenting signs and symptoms
  • recognise the diagnostic tests and staging of disease
  • detail the approach to management of endometrial cancer

Before commencing this session you should read:

Endometrial cancer is the most common cancer of the female genital tract and the 4th most common cancer in women in the UK.

It is predominantly a disease of postmenopausal women with peak incidence in their 70s.

This session will look at the aetiology, epidemiology and pathology of endometrial cancer, and will also describe the clinical presentation and management of this disease.

You will have the opportunity to test your learning throughout the session.
