Iain White,
Locum Consultant in Learning Disabilities, New Craigs Hospital, Inverness

Dr Iain White, a former GP, worked for many years in Moray and the Highlands to care for people with learning disabilities, and helped establish the Ladybird developmental group in Lossiemouth. He began working at New Craigs Hospital in 2000 as an Associate Specialist in Learning Disabilities and latterly became a Locum Consultant in Learning Disabilities.

Sadly, Dr Iain White died in October 2009, shortly after completing his e-learning session on epilepsy in people with learning disabilities. For many years, Iain championed the care of those with learning disabilities and his dedicated work in this area will benefit many thousands of patients and their families for many years to come.
