By the end of this session you will be able to:
- Identify the anatomy and function of the parathyroid glands
- Establish the different types of hyperparathyroidism
- Define a hypercalcaemic crisis and its management

This parathyroid lump session aims to underpin the anatomy and physiology of the parathyroid glands and define the presentation and management of common conditions associated with parathyroid gland pathology and abnormal calcium homeostasis related to surgery.
