  • Describe the assessment of a patient presenting with nipple discharge
  • List the correct investigations for a patient with nipple discharge
  • Discuss the treatment options for the various diagnoses in a patient with nipple discharge

Prerequisites
Before commencing this session you should (complete):

  • Revise the anatomy of the breast, particularly of the nipple-areolar complex and ductal system
  • Revise how to take a patient history of a patient presenting to breast clinic

This session aims to introduce the reader to the presentation and investigation of patients with nipple discharge, a very common problem seen in breast clinic.
