Description
This session will discuss the links between sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and sexual problems before focusing on some basic aspects of management of patients with these issues.
Learning objectives
By the end of this session you will be able to:
- Demonstrate understanding of the relationships between STIs (including HIV) and the development of sexual problems
- Formulate simple management strategies
- Establish local sources of support for individuals with a sexual dysfunction
Prerequisites
Before commencing this session you should have completed the session:
- Module 1/Sexual Problems - Part 1 (260-0002)
This is the second of four sessions in this module discussing the problems related to sexual functioning that may present in a sexual health setting.
During this session, the learner will focus firstly on the links between sexual problems and STIs followed by a discussion of some suggested basic management principles in these patients.
