Restrictive Practices: Behaviour Support Plans
A short learning activity about Behaviour Support Plans as a requirement of the Quality of Care Principles 2014; Aged Care Legislation Amendment (Royal Commission Response No. 1) Principles 2021.
From the 1st September 2021 Behaviour Support Plans (BSP) are a requirement of the Restrictive Practices legislation that started on the 1st July 2021.
A BSP is now required for:
- Everyone who needs behaviour support care or is receiving behaviour support care.
- Those who are or may be subject to the use of restrictive practices.
- Where the use of a restrictive practices is necessary following all the assessments and consent requirements.
